Penny Jones

Technical Writer & Research Analyst

Penny provides the close-knit team at Fyusion with operational, technical, research and administration support with the ever-growing portfolio of client projects .With her BSc Hons degree in Applied Psychology and Criminal Justice, Penny brings highly focused research skills and the ability to contribute productively to strategic thinking. She has well developed oral and written communication skills, including the preparation of reports and materials for workshops, and has the ability to collate, organise and analyse qualitative and quantitative data.

Penny brings strong organisational, problem solving and program management skills gleaned from previous positions in the not-for-profit and public sector.  This includes: program management of seminars attracting up to 1000 registrants; strategic planning of training sessions for medical personnel; and assisting with strategies to lobby the New Zealand Government to develop and fund national, standardised policies to help victims of sexual abuse. She has also worked in the Program Development Division of the NSW Department of Lands.

Penny also brings to Fyusion creative thinking, insatiable curiosity and high level critical analysis which she continually gains from her ‘other life’ as a freelance travel writer/ journalist and photographer. Her specialist areas of interest include conservation and green issues, eco-tourism, human rights and outdoor adventure stories.
